/You're a freelancer, but that does not mean you should work for free or not be paid a fair rate. With attacks on freelance workers in the media industry ever growing, we need to band together, unionize, and defend our self worth.
One of the most critical pieces to that is a contract that explicitly lays out the role and responsibility you and your employer have to one another. You cannot take the risk that your employer will have it out for your best interest, so you need a contract that protects you and your dignity as a worker and human being.
