GUILD FREELANCERS' 2nd ANNUAL JOURNALISM AWARDS
- Print, photography, multi-media and creative writing categories
- Special awards for journalism students and professional freelancer of the year
- Area encompasses the entire reach of the Pacific Media Workers Guild, including California and Hawaii
open to all journalists in any media or creative writers who produced work on a freelance basis in calendar year 2014.
Entries must have been originally published, broadcast, or released between January 1 and December 31, 2014
Entries will be judged by professional journalists from Guild units outside the region. Judges reserve the right to move an entry into a more appropriate category, or to combine entries into a single category.
Awards will be presented at a reception TKTK in San Francisco.
Students and Members of the Pacific Media Workers Guild may enter for free. Non-members will be charged a $10 fee per entry or $25 for three entries. Make checks payable to Pacific Media Workers Guild, 433 Natoma St., 3rd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94102 or pay online with Paypal.

All entries must have appeared in a publication, broadcast or website in the 2014 calendar year. Series that span two calendar years should be entered in the year they concluded. Shared bylines will be considered a single entry. You may enter as many categories as you want, but only one entry per category per person is permitted and a story or photo may be entered only once. Follow the entry direction carefully. Entries that do not meet the guidelines will be disqualified. Categories may be eliminated due to lack of entries. An entry also may be moved to another category.
